HEI Wire Size?

I have read in various sources that I need to use anything from a #14 to #10 wire from the fuse block to the BAT terminal on my new HEI distributor.

Should I be concerned if I used #14?

Thanks!

10 gage is what you want to use

14 is a bit on the thin side, factory used 12, I would recomend you wire it through a solenoid too

I think #14 AWG should be fine. You're only talking about a short run from the fuse panel to the distributer. Not very much voltage drop in seven feet of #14.

amperage draw of most HEI coils will run about 10 amps use #12 gauge wire at least.
