Question before I order new battery cables

Could I just verify with someone - is the solenoid lug for that side of the battery cable 1/2 inch? Just didn't want to order them and have that side wrong. Thanks in advance!

What did that run you?
I bought a 48'' 2 gauge Red cable with Solenoid and Top Post terminal ends for about $25 off the rack at Tractor Supply. Worked perfect on my 292 L6.

I bought made to order 4 GA cables - with the correct ends (top mount battery) the longest one, (54 inches) was $18

Re: Question before I order new battery cables

Like fan belts, battery cables can be ordered by length and cable size. I used AC Delco site to look up that 411 for the cables I bought. #2 side post type. They were not much $ on Amazon. I use a side post 78 series battery. IMHO a cleaner look vs top post

This is what I got

- $21 ACDelco Professional 2SD35X Battery Cable
+ $35 ACDelco Professional 2SD43XG

I did need to swap the post on + cable as it was too long. I assume that whatever vehicle specific application that cable is for uses an additional + cable secured with the longer stud. $1 to buy standard length battery stud

Depending on your desired routing path, just measure that length and look up the cable by # (i,e, 2SD= 2 gauge, 35X=35", G= insulation)

Nothing wrong with rolling your own if you buy parts. Need a good crimp tool, shrink tube

I love those guys! $41 for a custom-built 2 gauge pair -- including shipping.

You can also solder them on with a propane torch and enough flux.

I ordered from them too. 2ga wire to my length specification and the ends I wanted for a great price. I was really impressed with the company.
