Buddy Bucket Seat Frame Bolt Locations

I'm putting '68 buddy buckets in my '72 (originally bench seat). What is the consensus on the red circled center mount? Should I try to drill a hole in the cab floor and install a bolt there?

Or are the two bolts on each outer edge of the seat frame adequate?

I did with mine, along with a left over gas tank metal plate underneath as a washer

I'm not sure if that '69-'72 bucket cab floor brace will be in the correct location for my '68 buddy buckets since the seat mounting is so different?

I do have an original '72 bucket cab floor brace I salvaged from a Blazer tub I scrapped years ago. I'll have to do some measuring.

You would be correct on that, the lower center OE buddy bucket frame bracket circled in red will not line up with a 69-72 style bucket seat cab floor support brace, they are in different areas of the floor pan. Here are a few of our saved folder pics showing a 67-68 style buddy bucket seat frame and a couple of OE RPO A50 69-72 pickup bucket seat floor pans with the cross brace in place. Mel :chevy:

I have had 2 1967 cst trucks 1 gmc and 1 chevy with factory buddies and both did not have that hole drilled . I did drill it in my restoration and I removed a piece from another floor so it looked stock and used it as a washer but I guess the factory did not think it was needed.
