Re: WTB 1967 Auto gear shift pointer

LMC does sell the pointer housing and fiber optic cable (items 9 & 12).

https://www.lmctruck.com/1967-72-che...ing-components

The little L-shaped lens that goes inside the pointer housing, however, is not reproduced for the 67-70 housing. If you already have the L-shaped lens, then it can be transferred to the new pointer housing.

The L-shaped lens is reproduced for the 71-72 housing though, so one option is to go with the entire 71-72 style pointer and indicator setup. This would mean replacing the PRND21 indicator with the 71-72 style as well. It will fit your column.

Thanks, I'll wait and see if someone has an original to sell before going to a repro. The lens is in mine and I don't care for the '71 and up indicator housing. Trying to keep this "jewel" as original appearing as possible.

I prefer the appearance of the 67-70 indicator as well. I looked for a good original for a long time, and only found a couple of broken ones. I think people don't realize they have to be rotated sideways to be removed without breaking the tabs.

NOS pointer housings come up on eBay occasionally. The part number is 3959360. I purchased a couple of them recently. The first one was a dark metallic bronze color, and the other was black (same part number).

I've got this green one that has a small amount of material missing from the sides of the tabs. If you want it, it's yours for the cost of shipping.

Wow, absolutely, thank you. I'll pm my address for shipping cost.

Glad it made it safely. Hopefully you are able to find one with matching original paint eventually.

I still need a glove box door too, so may be doing some painting and "aging" on parts...;)
