Help with ride heights
Hello! Would a few of you folks with 4/6 drops measure and give me very accurate dimensions at front and rear from floor to a repeatable point on chassis. I would also need your tire diameters front and rear. Please pick a point on chassis that I can repeat on my end. I would be grateful!
Also, is a 4/6 drop very streetable? No serious issues in daily driving? I'm piecing together a 68 shortbed and trying to decide suspension front and rear. I know it's hard to beat the stock setup...but I'd like to put a C4 front and rear in this truck. And, yes I know there are companies out there that sell kits...but the fun part for me is building it myself. Again, I'd be grateful for your time and input. Jim |
Re: Help with ride heights
4/6 drop is fine on the streets. You still should be aware of road irregularities when driving, but most surfaces are not going to be an issue.

Re: Help with ride heights
I'm running a 4/6 drop. I would say it is very streetable as I've had no issues.

Re: Help with ride heights
Thank you both for your input...I felt from what I'd read 4/6 was streetable.

Re: Help with ride heights
I am currently 5/6 drop, no C notch. Ive cut my bump stops for a little more trave and ive only bottomed out on hard sudden drops. Like when hitting road construction and they have cut the pavement. 99% of the time its been fine no issues at all.
