A/C Hose Template

1 Attachment(s)
Here is a template I created to run the a/c line through the front of the fresh air box. I used a vintage air template and changed the actual hole sizes.
The dark grey is the hole size and the light grey is the overall grommet size.
I don't want a bulk head, so the hole diameters are larger than the lines to accommodate feeding the lines through with the fittings crimped on them. This template is 2.75" longer than the vintage air template.
My question is do I have 8" of vertical room to do this in the fresh air box?

Thanks
Larry

Larry

I like your plan on this.
I have a cab that I can measure this.

Where is the location point on the firewall left /right?

In simple/better terms a measurement from passenger side a-pillar where the hinge mount
or just from
The straightest part of the cowl on the Passengers side?

What's the tolerance you are looking for?
Tape measure or 0.100 ;)

I am a Machinist I can't help it:lol:

I can get you a picture.

Just let me know.:chevy::chevy:

Getter-Done - inside the fresh air vent cavity where it slopes with the fender curve ( if that makes sense). Tape measurements will work.

Thanks

Re: A/C Hose Template

After much thought, I think my routing will be out the bottom of the fresh air vent cavity and up the inner fender. I have seen a couple like that in searching the forum.
I want to drill and grommet holes large enough for lines with fittings to go through, instead of using a bulk head. That way I have less connections to deal with. My only concern is the sweep the hoses have to make going up the inner fender.
Anyone have any thoughts/advise here?

Thanks
