Side Mirror Glass replacement
 

I've been trying to find a "how to" on remove the side mirror glass only for my 97 GMC standard mirror with power. Just want to remove the mirror glass, not the whole mirror assembly. Any help???

I have never done one. I tried once and the plastic fell apart trying to get the remaining pieces of old mirror glass out. Hopefully someone else will chime in for you.

The problem is that the mirror glass itself is fine. I want to remove it to get to the motor behind

It has clips that hold it in place.

Do what my Brother does.

He goes and practices taking stuff apart on one that is already damaged.

Or one that he will probably buy.:lol:
