Striker plate parts.
 

I have searched for this but cannot find any answers. The plastic spring loaded piece in the strike plate is what I am looking for. Any thoughts?

Not saying they don't exist but I have never seen replacement anti rattle plastic blocks. The housing for them is riveted in but the blocks may be removable, I'm not sure on that. You may have to buy the whole striker plate. You can't post a "WTB" unless you are a Premium member but if you see one for sale on the parts board you can buy it.....

I will take a closer look at one of my extra ones and see if the parts can be removed. Which side do you need?

They are easily removable with a small pick. There is a small pin that is spring loaded that slides out. I have just bead blasted my plates. But the plastic blocks show a fair amount of wear and would like to replace them with new ones. 72ironmike has some rebuilt plates with new blocks but have not reached out to him because he is selling complete rebuilt units. Just wondering where guys are getting them.

OK, I guess I have never had to replace any of them. They could be made out of Delrin or some other type of plastic.

I bought new ones, (not originals) and was pretty pleased with them. United Pacific though eBay - $47 for the pair.

Rick, I get my springs, pins & bushings off other year NOS Strikers like 64-66 or from new aftermarket plates I find. Not really an economical way to do it, but I like to get as close to New OEM as I can for restoration/builds.

Thanks for the replies. It's hard to believe a wear part like that is not reproduced except in complete aftermarket assemblies.

These as an Individual part.
Can be machined in a production setting in a CNC machine.

Mutiple fixture can be made.

There would be several set-ups to make this part.

If the demand was strong enough.

This would be a great item to make for someone that has a CNC Machine.

They can def be removed. I just refinished mine and removed that part just push in from opposite side of plastic piece it's spring loaded.
