Another question! Running speaker wires into the door.
Evening all,
Just come in from a few hours in the shed looking at how to get the speakers wires from the doors to the a pillar and then to the amp. Conclusion is not sure how to do this! How have others run cables through the A pillar? Over too you. P. :D |

I ran mine under the sill plate. Is the wire you are using too large to do that?

Re: Another question! Running speaker wires into the door.
Both speaker wire and power window wires - seems to me you'd have to drill at least two pieces of metal in the cab to get to the under dash area.

That is my thinking Mr Rod.
Just looking to get some advice from somebody that has done it before and can give a few pointers. P. :D |

I used something like this
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/e...xoC0qkQAvD_BwE For my power windows with a hole cut in the door and a hole cut in the door frame. I originally bought something like this https://www.summitracing.com/parts/k...RoC2cYQAvD_BwE But it ran into too much under structure in the doors. |

Thanks Forest.
Do you have a picture of the installation and what did you have to drill through to run the wires? I think that is my biggest issue, the multiple holes that need to be drilled to get the cables through to under the dash! Or an you go through the door strap holes, drill through from there and find a way to fish the cable up behind the dash. Or I just stick the cable behind the weather strip and stop worrying about it…. P. :D |
