OEM in dash AC
Where would I find GM documentation of when AC was available on a 67-72 in dash…..
My understanding is that it wasn’t available in dash until 1972 - it was a rear ac unit along the headliner 67-71 I’m in a heated debate with a keyboard warrior on a suburban Facebook page. Thx |
Re: OEM in dash AC
nobody has input?
Shouldn't this be a line item on the SPID? |
Re: OEM in dash AC
friendly suggestion to possibly get more attention to your thread - update title with suburban dash a/c first available year? or something more pointed to your query might garner more responses
neither my '71 or '72 suburban has a/c and can't honestly say from all the suburbans I've looked at but I'm sure someone in here knows I can offer this '71 suburban brochure that mentions the body-integrated air conditioning option and the dash pictured above is non-air the '71 pickup truck and blazer brochures both show a/c in dash so sure looks like there's was something holding back the air option in the dash in suburbans keep bumping thread and someone(s) that knows will chime in - good luck! https://dl.dropbox.com/s/pdxj81q8htn...%20sm.jpg?dl=0 https://dl.dropbox.com/s/v09n31q9jew...%20sm.jpg?dl=0 |

Re: OEM in dash AC
I'm not sure why there are two threads on the same topic. (?)
Look at the Information Kits from GM heritage center. A quick look shows "roof mounted air" as the only A/C option for Suburban (C69) in 1971. For 1972 it says "front and rear" air (C69) front only A/C should be rpo C60 |
