Transmission Hump Height
1 Attachment(s)
Is the trans hump pictured low or high? I have a base '60 Apache with a three speed manual. I thought they came with the low hump but the rubber mat I just bought is too small so it has me thinking....

Re: Transmission Hump Height
That looks considerably taller than mine, which I believe is a low hump.

Re: Transmission Hump Height
You are both showing pictures of a high hump. Normally the high hump is bolted in and a low hump generally is welded in.

Re: Transmission Hump Height
Both of y'all have a high hump. The low hump has a step up at the rear.
The low hump was bolted in on 60-63 floors. |
Re: Transmission Hump Height
Thanks to all who responded. So is it normal to have a 3 speed manual and a high hump on a '60? From what I read it should be a low hump from the factory. This is a one owner (family) vehicle that I don't believe has ever been modified before it came to me.

Re: Transmission Hump Height
I'm not sure on that, but it's definitely plausible. The front section of the tunnel different between high and low, so if it's been changed in the past, you probably would be able to tell

Re: Transmission Hump Height
I have a 61 half ton with a 3 on the tree and a 62 one ton with the factory four speed. Other than the hole for the shifter on the one ton they are the same and both bolt in.
