Body side mouldings

I removed all the body side mouldings on my 94 Silverado, and am having a heck of a time getting the rest of the goo off from the moulding tape,I have tried my pinstripe removal wheel, then WD 40,Goo Gone and 3M adhesive remover, and still trying to get it all off,so has anybody got any better ideas,I am stumped.

90% isopropyl alcohol works decent, I also have used a razor blade to carefully scrape off the bulk.

I have used WD40 to soak it in, then rub it off. I used a white scotchbrite pad with a light touch to loosen the bad spots There is also something called gooo-gone that is supposed to work well. I have some in shop, but have yet to use it on anything.

Well the 3M adhesive remover is working, but you need to wear a respirator, this stuff stinks, now I have a dilemma,do I put the new mouldings on or leave them off,I kinda like the with them on and off, decision time, better sit back in the rolling chair with a beverage and keep looking at it,lol,Thanks for the responses.

Depends on the truck and style of trim. Stepsides look great with or without trim. Fleetsides (to me) need the trim.

Fleetside, they are going on,I just removed the right door moulding, and there was some previous paint work done on the door and some paint peeled of with the moulding,so on go the new ones.

You have to let the adhesive remover soak for a good 10min with several applications. Plastic razor and scrap away. Kinda impossible to do without leaving some light scratches, but in this case they will indeed buff out lol.
