Seat reupholster

Stripped off old. welded springs and repainted frame. Bought seat cover from Raybuck. Also bought a 1 inch pad from them. It came with the burlap. My question is ... when I cut the foam pad do I cut it the exact fit the top of the seat or do I cut it a little bigger so it folds over the front edge of the seat? Folding it over would give it a little more comfort on the back of my calves but I'm not sure if it will fit correctly. One more question. Do I need to add burlap and 1 inch foam to the seat back? The cover comes padded

well if you cut it long and it doesn't fit, you can always cut it back. thats how i would go about it. I wouldnt think the frame cutting into the back of my knee area would be all that great either

I cut it long and folded it over. A little harder to pull over but the foam will help protect the cover
