American Retro Steering Wheel 67-68
3 Attachment(s)
Picked up the new 67-68 reproduction steering wheel from American Retro for my 1971 that is actually 15" in diameter opposed to the 16.5" factory wheel. I really like the fit and look, plus more comfortable. It came with a nice chrome button, but my factory glass CST button snaps right in as well.

Re: American Retro Steering Wheel 67-68
I like it but my truck has no power steering and you need all your might to park it . Think a smaller wheel would be even harder wish they made the standard size wheel to

Re: American Retro Steering Wheel 67-68
I have power steering, but I don't like the wood/stainless steel wheel I got from LMC. I'd much rather have the standard wheel, even if it is bigger.

Re: American Retro Steering Wheel 67-68
After all these years looking at both style steering wheels, these things look fat and funky to me. I always thought the 67-68 was perfect diameter, being smaller than 69-72s. I've run smaller car wheels before and like that feel, too. But I actually like the feel of a truck wheel. It's cool to see stuff like this is made, though. Pretty cool to modify but not really look like it, my favorite kind of custom.

Re: American Retro Steering Wheel 67-68
I have seen these online like at Speedway Motors and even Ebay. I paid 300 for it as a show special and carried it home. Not sure of the current pricing.

Re: American Retro Steering Wheel 67-68
I bought this a month or so ago. Was not really happy with it and it wouldn't even fit over the steering shaft all the way (I made a post about it). I returned it. It is made in China, so I am wondering if I just got a bad one. I absolutely love the look of the stock wheel and may give it another go in the future, but we will see. Price seems ridiculous for what it is (ebay is cheaper).
