1994 Front Bumper Adjustment
Slowly putting my 1994 Sierra 1500 back together. I bought a new Bumper, Lower Valance, and Bumper Filler along with all new Hardware from LMC. I had taken the Bumper Brackets off to clean them up and paint.
When I installed everything, the Front Bumper has a noticeable Gap between the Bumper and the Filler. You can see part of the Bumper Bolt heads and you can also see the Ground in a few spots. I confirmed I have the correct 94 and up parts. Can the Bumper be adjusted back? I need about a 1/2 Inch. Whats the best way to achieve this? I installed the Brackets loose, then tightened everything down once the Bumper was on. I guess I should have waited until I installed the filler? Do these have enough adjustment to gain a 1/2 inch or more movement towards the Cab? |

This is what my 93 looks like. My 99 is a little better, on one side. Loosen the bolts and push it back, see if it moves.

Re: 1994 Front Bumper Adjustment
Thanks for the picture. I guess I’m just too particular with the new build. I’ve had the Truck for 15 years and never looked at the Gap I guess.
I ended up elongating the Bumper mounting holes and was able to close the Gap enough to make me happy. I’m just paranoid about ill fitting aftermarket parts after a few other issues I ran into on this rebuild. Thanks again |
