Trucks at the Imperial Gardens show 7/1/23

Moderators: please move this thread to the appropriate spot.

One of our local large produce farms puts on an annual show at their home base every year.

It's not a big show but a fun laid back even under the cover of the canvas tarps that usually shade their work area for preparing the produce to ship to markets around the pnw. Imperial Gardens Produce is in a number of places in Western Washington.

Outside of the shade They roasted a pig and fed participants lunch.

There was a total mix of cars from Antique, nifty vintage sports car, AD, TF and a bunch of other GM trucks including one that may have been sittng on the showroom floor at the dealer last week.

Here are the interesting ones .

I don't know much about about the two TF trucks but the red AD is a fresh build that from what I gathered was at it's first show after being finished or on the road. Its as straight as Hogfarm's truck and that is saying a lot.

The red truck was worked on in a shop out in Nvrdone's hood. They did a few first Gen Broncos that brought huge money at the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale auction

Down on the end row was Artie's GMC with the Buick bumpers and a blown 302 GMC six. He is our local central Washington hot rod and custom car wiring guru

Then we have 4 60's Square bodies, the two blue ones are at just about every show that I go to and the owners are really active in the local car culture. The low profile white one has a Corvette Chassis with LS engine. The long bed showing a lot of rust belongs to a really nice gal and her daughter and they have been hitting some shows with it and having a blast. .

One more look at the gals square truck and off down to the Chopped longbed AD. This is another one that I have only recently started seeing at shows.

What looks like a pine bed in the Gray longbed and the 57 stretch cab has been around for years but used to be red oxide primer for a lot of years.

Some nice vehicles there. It's fine to leave the thread here, unless you want a broader audience then I can move it to general discussion if you like.

There wasn't a lot unless you are in the FB or lurk on it https://www.facebook.com/groups/581243962379996

Cars chrome and coffee yakima. They gather at 7AM at the coffee shop in front of Joann's Fabric at 3706 Tieton Drive Yakima Just don't park down close to the fabric shop as even though everyone is gone by nine the early fabric buyers want to park close to the store. You can even show up in your daily if the truck isn't ready. I haven't made it yet as somehow dragging myself out at 6 am and driving 30 miles hasn't been that exciting.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a quality show. More special for it's setting, size, and a meal!

They primarily wholesale produce to stores and fruit and produce stands in the PNW. I've seen their boxes at a number of big produce stands in the Puget sound area.

They do have a seasonal stand at the home base. This being a photo that Wayne Linder Jr shared on FB.
The road that they are on (Lateral A) and the area around it is known for the produce stands and fruit stands and buy it from the farmer places. People sow up from Seattle and other cities to buy large batches of fruit and veggies to can or freeze to put away.

I laughed when I saw the title to this thread. In Los Angeles, Imperial Gardens is the projects on Imperial Hwy and you definealty DO NOT want to go there, let alone park some nice trucks there. You won't have them long and may not survive. It's not the happiest place on earth. That's Disneyland over in Anaheim. Just keep driving.
