Headed to L.A.!!!!!!

Well I'm taking my wife to L.A. for a few days in Feb. still getting flight reservations. I've been so busy with selling all this stuff, the baby, my sickness and her work I decided we needed a get away. She has a friend that lives just south of L.A. so we are staying with her. Hopefully I'll have time for some truck stuff out there.:D I've never been to California so it will be an experience for a Kansan!!!:D

Kalifornia, the land of fruits and nuts.

You'll know what I mean when you get back.

fast71 01-09-2004 11:22 PM

I thought you were going to say you were going to lower alabama.

teeitup 01-09-2004 11:31 PM

I'm sure I'll enjoy the sights, lol. 5 minutes from John Wayne airport I guess.

Quagmire 01-09-2004 11:58 PM

LA is only a few hours from vegas!

nu2-72 01-09-2004 11:59 PM

fast 71, you beat me to it. LOL

Say hey, Kevin and Tammie.

I was really hoping you were going to drive, so you could bring me some parts on your way. Love it there in Costa Mesa, Newport area. Be sure to hit The Old Spaggetti Factory on Newport Blvd. It is right across the street from the beach. May as well go to Disneyland, 45minute drive. Maybe even Universal studios. Another hour or two south is Sea world and LaJolla.

teeitup 01-10-2004 02:18 AM

I think right beside John Wayne airport, all I know is it cost my wife $80 for a taxi to get to LAX

About 3-1/2 to 4 hours on the crappiest road known to man that is always under construction. It often cuts down to two lanes and if you don't stay at a steady pace of 90+ mph people really get pi$$ed. Me and Bro in Law did it about a year ago towing a 30 foot 5th wheel car trailer. It sure was nice once we hit Vegas.

Hopefully the weather will still be nice when you get here. With the wind chill, it was about 75 deg yesterday. LOL. Hope you have time for some truck stuff when you're here. Here's a site that has cruise nite info on it. There should be something close to you.

I've always wanted to make a trip out there.

I see so many rust free cars that go for nothing
because of their strict smog standards.

Hope you have a good trip, and remember to relax.
Sounds like you've been busy.

That depends on what you are looking for. Im gonna be lookin for a replacement cab cause windshield area and drip rails dont exist. California is not as perfect on cars as it sounds, now Arizona is another story.
