New disk brake

Hello,
My brake is all new, disk, line 3/16, galiper, booster, master cylinder
and I find the pedal soft, it brake anyway, but no way the pedal will become firm
the system is perfectly purged, no air bubbles in the line
The rod on the master cylinder is adjusted. No leak.
Any ideas ? Vacuum maybe.
Thank you for help me

Re: New disk brake

Was bench bleeding the master before you installed it part of your bleeding process? If not, there's probably air in it still

I have that same problem but have gotten used to it. Some say you need to redrill a hole in the brake pedal stem. Now I would just have to remember up or down but I know it is about 1". :D

64c20pickup,
I had the exact same problem with my 64 C10. I ended up making a home made pressure bleeding setup. Here's a link as to what I did - post #6. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=633937 I'm pretty sure I still have everything if you need to borrow it. PM me if you want to borrow it.

I tried everything in the book to get my brakes to bleed properly & nothing worked except my home made pressure bleeder. Even then I read you only needed about 5 PSI to get the brakes bled but I had to crank up the pressure to 25PSI to get mine bled. This was almost 10 years ago so my memory might be a little rusty. I used a 73 C10 master cylinder on my truck if it makes a differance.
