I can't find anything significant to pick apart on this 68.

I'd keep the name on there for kicks. I wonder what the inspiration was for putting that name on it.

Never seen an air pump on a 68 truck. My Dad's 68 SS Camaro had one. Was this a CARB or special altitude rating?

AIR systems were common in California. Not sure what the requirements were in other states, though.

As far as I can tell, '68 manual transmission 1/2 ton trucks got AIR pumps nationwide. I think this rule holds true for 69 but may change in later years.

My '68 came with a smog pump on the L6. Worked as it should, but I have other plans. Turns out to be the perfect spot for the PS pump to go. Already has the correct pulley set up. :ito:

Ditto on the smog pump, my 68 LB had one as well - original 307 manual truck.
