Centerlink question

Hello,
I converted to 73-87 crossmember and components, but when I use the 73-87 centerlink the idler and pittman are not parallel! When I compare the '71 with '73 up, the 73 up is 1/2" shorter. Is the idler arm frame mount different between '71 and '73 up?
Truck is a '71 C10. Thanks for your input.

Re: Centerlink question

Thanks for the reply.

I got a square body idler arm bracket today. There is a big difference in the two. Wish I'd known ahead of time so I could have gotten the bracket when I got the centerlink.
Anyway, if anyone else does the upgrade to '73-'87 A-arms and steering...you must use the centerlink and the idler arm bracket.

Re: Centerlink question

There was a change in design on the idler in 83. They went to a smaller stud on one side. 82 and down used the same idler for many years. I found that out when I put a square crossmember on my 68 stepper.
