without pics hard to tell but it sounds like about average for a decent driver body good not too bad restorable the big block makes it worth more if its a good mtor

I think that sounds not too far off. Just parting it you should get

Tilt 200
Tach dash 200
PS box/pump 50
PB booster 50
running 402 w/brackets 900-1000
Good th400 tranny 150-250

You'd make your money back with the above, and you'd still have most of the truck left

I don't see how you'd go wrong

See how rusty it is Matt, think about how much you could get out of it if you parted it out. You know what the tach and tilt are worth. I passed a similiar one up for 1500 dollars, it was a 71 Cheyenne with a big block, fact air, tach and a four speed tilt in it. Its probably still sitting where it was 5 years ago. Im in Brainerd which isnt to far from you. I work with a bunch of guys from Park Rapids right now. Go check it out.... Don

Can I say please don't part it if you don't need to?

A lot of guys get stuck in the using the parts value when buying. A truck is never worth the sum of it's parts when sold complete, the parts add to it, but not linearly. If you use parts value alone you can end up being forced to part out a truck if you want your money back, and I personally don't like the idea of parting out a perfectly good truck without a good reason (remember, they don't make these any more so every truck you part is one less you'll have a chance to buy later down the road).
