Dim front side marker lights
My front side marker lights are dimmer than the rear. Bet it's a bad ground. The rear are grounded to the bed. Can't tell where the front are grounded as the wires are inside wire looms. Any idea where the factory ground for the fronts will be? It's the original wiring.

Re: Dim front side marker lights
Just read on an old post the front side markers ground through the parking lights. Is this so? I don't have my bumper and parking lights on the beast yet. Waiting for help with the bumper install.

Re: Dim front side marker lights
When I built my 68 I added extra grounds from the frame to the engine. Then from the frame to radiator support. I would add grounds from the box to the frame.

Re: Dim front side marker lights
If you want flashing side markers they have to be wired through the turn signals.

Here's a post from 2009. They do go through the front parking lights. Problem solved.

Re: Dim front side marker lights
69-70 are grounded direct and do not flash. 71-72 front side markers are grounded through the front turn bulb element. This makes them alternate flashing with the front turn lights. Because the ground is through the element LED's cannot be used in front turn or front side markers on 71-72. Even if a standard bulb is used in the front the resistance of the bulb will not allow an led side marker to light because it draws so little power.
