I recently finished this 68 swb sept 27,Wednesday night before leaving for c10 nationals is Nashville on Thursday Sept 28. Still have some things to adjust detail etc but this was my first bagged Ls truck and I kept a gm four speed ( car variety) using the stock bell crank and manual type linkage- no hydro stuff here

Halfbrit is correct, the instrument and glovebox door are both ring brothers as are the door handles. I started to use a set of GSI units but the ring brothers units were too clean not to use.tmi interior, nu relics/ electric life power windows and switches, lokar billet pedals, accuair compressor, 5.3 all aluminum engine from 2004 envoy , speed engineering headers, stainless 2.5 exhaust with hooker aero chamber mufflers, 3.73 gear, 4 wheel disc drilled and slotted, brothers one piece door glass, one piece products rear flush fit glass, vanatta fab engine and interior panels in pro touring design. Griffin Ls rad with duel fans, custom shifter machined by close friend to match cvf hood springs and lokar pedals vanantta fab panels. Sloppy stage 2 cam .585 lift, 862 heads, aftermarket intake, 105 mm throttle body, 42 lb injectors, powder coated frame. Gm Flame red 514, four speed trans, original radio delete/cowl, raper bed liner with 4 inch wider wheel tubes and boss 338 wheels. Bunch of cpp tubular suspension and polyurethane bushings throughout. Also mix of united pacific and digi tails led lights with led head lights that mimic stock type bulbs. A lot of trique parts as well- doors, tailgate and hood latches as well as some Ls fab parts as well. Sorry for long list but trying to help with any questions. I bought this as an abandoned project from guy who had it in a crooked body shop who had stolen about half of his parts, brought it home blew it all apart and started over from zero. All body panels are aftermarket except cab, cowl and bed floor. It was the perfect truck to resto mod as it originally was a 6 cylinder, 3 speed plain Jane truck.

That’s a beauty Harold! Wow, what a radical departure from the stock builds you’ve done in the past

Re: 68 pics

I agree, this was hard to do not because of the truck but I goes against everything I believe in. It was a nice departure, but I like stock builds soo much better. The 69 cst I just picked up will be a good one to get back into the swing of things again. I also have a 69 4x4 I am doing a stock restore on for a customer. It was his grandfathers truck bought new and was slowly fading away, he wants it back to where it started. He is going all out on parts and should have a nice truck by time I am through. Will post pics as progress and new knee allows.

That was my thought. It's good to be flexible, do a little side steppin' sometimes. Thanks for all the info.
