Nice Burb how much lift.

Ryan Flowers 01-12-2004 09:03 PM

Smokkey1,

Thanks, Specs are as follows:

1990 GMC (Born a 1/2 ton and grew up into a 3/4 ton)
5.7L 350 (Will be swaped out with a brand new balanced and blue printed 383 with about 420 hp next month)
A/C & power everything (which means everything can go wrong)
Brand new GM 700R4 geared for 3/4 ton less than 100 miles
8" Lift (all springs no body) 52" 3/4 ton springs
Cross over steering
Frame Brace @ steering box
dual shocks in the front singles in the back
new front and rear drive shafts
rebuilt Dana 44 up front with 4:10 gears
rebuilt Corp. 14 bolt in the rear with 4:10 gears
36"x 14.5"x16.5" TSL Supper Swampers
Bomb proof front bumper
extended hoses all around
Hope to save my $ to have the interior redone this year
Paint is 14 years old and doing good (No rust yet)

After I drop in the new engine it will be a brand new truck from the engine down. All for less than 14K to include 4K for the purchase of it. Who needs a 50K new truck when it can't do half of what old bettsy can do.

:gmc:

clipity,

It has 8" springs front & rear (No blocks or body lift). no one ever says I wish I would have went with a smaller lift:D I kinda whish I would have went 10" with 38"s

big swifty 02-08-2004 01:07 PM

Shweet!

Nice Job Ryan
I'll post pics of my BurB (B4 and after)
I would like to know where you got those side-view mirrors.

Blue82Chev 02-09-2004 09:28 PM

Nice Burb!!

big swifty 02-10-2004 12:46 PM

mirrors

are those mirrors stock on the 90 and 91's?

Ryan Flowers 02-13-2004 12:53 AM

big swifty,

I don't know. They were on there when I bought it. This winter I had the driver side glass bust out and now I am having a hard time finding a replacement. The are powered mirrors so I would think they are stock or at least replacements for the stock powered mirrors.

Thanks,

smokkey1 02-13-2004 09:38 PM

ryan,

what kind of shocks are you running??? I need a set so I can finally lift my burb...

thanks,
justin

Ryan Flowers 02-22-2004 08:04 PM

Justin,

I am running Pro-Comp Explorers for an 8-10 inch lift. I have Rancho's on the 85 burban but I like these alot better.

Ryan Flowers 02-22-2004 08:07 PM

Sorry about the snow pics. I will try to post some better ones this week. I am currently taking out the engine to drop in the 383. The only up side to all this work is when it is done I will have a new truck from the engine down.

Later,

Thats one BAD ASS burb! Looks killer! I hope my dads 72 3/4 4x burb looks as bad ass as that some day!
