I just got my truck back together after replacing the center section and gears. Quick Performance has a great deal on a kit with Yukon posi center, gears, bearings and shims. I pulled the rear out and took it to my friends shop. He setup the gears and checked the pattern. I got it back home and cleaned up the axles and replaced axle bearings and seals. Got it assembled and took it out for a test drive. I drove by my nephew’s house to make sure the posi was functioning properly. 😂

Just fyi my guy that has built a number of rear ends for me would say to take it easy for the first 50-100 miles to kind of break in the gears.

You can take it easy on it, now that you know it works!

Lookin good but Yes they need breakin . The instructions for 9 inch I bought from Quick Performance with the Yukon pumpkin said to drive it a few miles till warm let it cool then repeat the process. I changed the fluid at 500 miles and it’s been good for the last 12 years
