Lap belt replacement for '72. Where did you get yours?
My truck has faded tan lap belts with the plastic buckle. I want to replace with black lap belt with metal buckle with GM logo. Where did you get yours?

What about using a 67-72 black set? This is a set that I had restored for someone.

Where not to go - LMC. I bought a set of shoulder belts and they don’t have the GM logo….and the latches feel a little cheap honestly. Wishing I’d just bought a set from a forum member. I’m sure they’ll work but again wish I’d done a different direction than LMC.

I bought a complete set of black repro seat belts from Truck Shop Car Shop from Orange California. They are very, very close to what came in my 1970 right down to the GM button logos. They are lacking the white sewn on tags, but all parts can interchange with the original units. They are only $220 a front set.

Once I’m certain someone needs a set done, then they are put on my “to do” list. Then I would need to dig a set out to restore. |
Re: Lap belt replacement for '72. Where did you get yours?
My 72 K20 came with replacement seat belts that included shoulder belts that have a limp receiver buckle that lays flat on the middle of the seat. Does anyone make a firm receiver buckle holder coming out of the seat crack like modern trucks? It’s frustrating to push the buckle into a dangly receiver…..
