57 truck fuel pedal brake pedal issue
Hi, I am finishing a 57 chevy pickup with a 6.0/4L80E DBW and just got the seat back (Stock Bench) and installed. I have a problem with the brake and gas pedal to high. I am using the stock 2005 GMC pedal I shaped to get it away from the tunnel and the brake pedal is a conversion to use the booster/master on the firewall. Doe any company make maybe a adjustable fuel pedal or anyone run into this? Thank You Steve

Re: 57 truck fuel pedal brake pedal issue
I think I got it figured out. I was able to shim the fuel pedal and move the brake pedal down. Plus I did not have the seal all the way back so that helped. Steve

Re: 57 truck fuel pedal brake pedal issue
I am using the stock pedal/bracket from a 2005 GMC 2500. I had to bed it some to clear the tunnel but seems good now. I believe the brake pedal came from CPP performance. Steve

Re: 57 truck fuel pedal brake pedal issue
I had to cut my pedal down a bit and shorten it to make it fit the way I wanted. The pedal hung down too far and hit the floor. I think I chopped 2" out of the pedal length.

Not a truck project but on my LS3 swapped 80 Camaro I had to make a bracket to move DBW away from the trans tunnel.
I used the stock firewall mounting holes. Couple of pics. |
