Rear bumper tuck
 

My truck fits in my garage with just a couple inches to spare. I was thinking I could redrill the frame holes and move the back bumper in closer. Maybe 2 inches Anyone ever do this?

That reminds me of when my grandparents bought a 1961 Chevy station wagon in 1961 and my grandfather notched out the middle 2x4 in the garage so the garage door would close. Then when they traded it on a 70 Chevy C 10 he built a 3 ft bump out in the back of the garage that my work table now sits in.

This is only an idea since I dont have a back bumper. I had the holes on my front bumper brackets redrilled and pulled it in about 2". Those things are spring steel and hard as rocks, so a normal drill wont work. You might want to mock the bumper up by clamping the brackets to the frame and see how it looks and see where holes might need to be drilled. I did see an AD that had the bumper pulled in so that the curve in the bumper just met the end of the bed. Looked really good.

I moved my AD bumper up and in.
This is actually a front bumper that I flattened out a bit. I reworked a set of front brackets with lots of heat and a big vice. They can be drilled, sharp bits, good cutting pressure, lots of oil. Don't let it heat up or you will be drilling the rest of the hole with a gas axe.
