Air Ride Information
Doing air bags on my 72 2wd. Looking for anything on best tank mounting location, compressor mounting location. A lot of truck guys mount theirs back in the rear between the frame rails. Cant do that with the Blazer due to gas tank location. Anyone have links to a build or pictures.

Re: Air Ride Information
I mounted the dual air compressors on the outside of the frame just behind the torsion boxes. I wiggled the tank between the step up of the floor and the frame cross member. It’s a tight fit. I put the air control module in the front corner by the charcoal canister.

Trying to figure out the same thing. Thought about putting the tank in the torsion box but of course there is no way to get it in there.

Re: Air Ride Information
I will try to get some pictures here soon when i can get some room to get under my blazer, I mounted 2 - 3 gallon ride tech tanks each with their own isolation valve.
Mounted each one on outside frame rail @ the rear gas tank behind rear tire splash guards, they tuck away there nicely. This is made possible because i have the exhaust dumps in front of rear wheels. As for the compressors I mounted on the Inside of the frame rails on the rear side of the trailing arm crossmember one on each side as well. The solenoid valves (ridepro 4 way) block is mounted to a small piece of sheet metal i welded to the backside on the "STEP" support rear of the floor pan and where the bed meets. this makes for easy wire running to above floor where my controls are and tubing can be ran clean to this location as well. Main downside here is having to get under truck to work on solenoid for any reason |
