What is this part on my 71 blazer
 

This little canister was mounted on the passenger wheel well. One line goes to the carburetor. Any idea what it is? First 2 pics are the r canister thingy. 3rd pic is how my carb T’s off. Thank you!

It's a charcoal canister for the gas tank fumes.
