1974 K5 Blazer LS3 TR6060
Well, onto the next one. Not a whole lot of back story on this Blazer other than I got my hands on it, had a Softtopper top and I had to track down a hard top. SBC truck with a TH350.
Was driving it for a while, no real issues, normal stuff. Sold a Corvette I had which is funding this quest. So for the drivetrain, it's a 54K mile 2013 Camaro LS3 with a TR6060 trans. I am in no way shape or form a content creator, but decided to do a build series on this one. Here's the links to the youtube videos. there's 2 so far. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...5ArniPF8ZVF37w And here is how it goes. https://i.imgur.com/AkWy9yB.jpg |

https://i.imgur.com/MeKhBu6.jpg Being that it's a 2013 Camaro, that means electric power steering. Now I could've went and got a bracket kit and ran hydraulic power steering but I was feeling like I wanted to be different. So here's my take on the brackets for a Volvo EPS system. https://i.imgur.com/6onGmni.jpg https://i.imgur.com/OAR1qOw.png?1 https://i.imgur.com/7pSA15y.jpg https://i.imgur.com/cREGWtO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/sdSJDW1.png?1 https://i.imgur.com/84vhiot.jpg https://i.imgur.com/s9hHpnp.jpg https://i.imgur.com/sam3cpG.jpg I whipped this up on Fusion 360 and had a local Metal shop plasma cut this out. I have since built my own plasma table and look forward to doing more things like this in the future! |

Looks good brother. Anxious to see how it works out.

Re: 1974 K5 Blazer LS3 TR6060
Little pedal adapter I whipped up in Fusion 360 to 3D print. Worked out great. Might adjust the angle just a bit, but probably only spent about $5 in filament and an hour and a half over 2 different iterations/designs.
It uses the factory bolts and mounting location and just adapts the pedal where it should be. https://i.imgur.com/pLvnmjO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0s5hzz8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Xf8MPj2.jpg https://i.imgur.com/MRAtU1t.jpg https://i.imgur.com/WkMcoob.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AtE0SvB.jpg |
Re: 1974 K5 Blazer LS3 TR6060
Interested in following the electric steering install.
I sometimes see LT engines cheaper than LS engines around here. I've been kind of "old school" in that I've "preferred" hydraulic steering over electric even though I had never really tried it, but I've been driving my son's Golf GTI and can't say I notice any difference. Keep on posting. |
