Hood hidges

Looks like it is time to replace my hood hodges. I have another used set that may be good. Not sure trying to find a way to test them without installing them. Anyone buy any new ones lately? wondering about the quality of the reproductions.

two 2"x4" One 2"x4" Cut 15" long in vise bolt down with two big washer two lag bolts 4" or bolts and nuts. Second 2"x4" cut to 5'-6' depending on roof high longer is easier, less force needed two large washer two bolts 3/8x5" two nuts. A hammer and old or cheap chisel 3" flat side down on the rivet head, other side on an anvil or 2"or 4" cut railroad tie work great as a makeshift anvil WAK head of the rivet few times to snug it as long as the holes is not too in lagered get a few years this.
