69 307 engine and preferably whole automatic drive train
Eagerly Looking for a 1969 307 engine (and drivetrain if you have it )with one of the following Truck engine suffix codes: UF,UJ,UM,UN,UQ. Luckily the 307 was a short run so I’m hoping I can find this. It would most likely be out of a 1969 chevy or GMC Truck or Blazer. I will buy it from anywhere. Thanks

I hope i didn't get your hopes up very high. Unfortunately I believe both of my 307s are dated 1968.
They both have the same casting # 3914636 The pads are--V0829WA And-----------------27601 I'm sorry I couldn't help. Good luck with you search. Danny. |
Re: 69 307 engine and preferably whole automatic drive train
Ahhh. What does pads mean?

Re: 69 307 engine and preferably whole automatic drive train
The flat pad is on the right front side of the block. Under the cylinder head.
I haven't had any luck interpretateing those #s, on any engine. |
Re: 69 307 engine and preferably whole automatic drive train
Thanks for answering and checking I appreciate it. You have any idea where I may find a 69 307 block ?

Re: 69 307 engine and preferably whole automatic drive train
I'm no help there either. Not many have been saved as everyone thought they were a dog of an engine. In reality they are a very good small block Chevy if you don't require 500 HP like most everyone.
They have a bad reputation because (i may be wrong) they all or most came with a 2 barrel carb. |
