I’m assuming they are factory but for the life of me I can’t fiigure out why they are there.

The roof is bolted on. Look inside you will see nuts.

Is it only spot welded at the front doors and above the windshield?

It has some spot welds across the rear as well

Weird I’ve never noticed those before. Snapped a pic of my panel. Its a little different but same use i guess.
