Hydraulic Clutch Installation
Hey all,
I just received my amazing brake booster and hydraulic clutch kit from CaptainFab! Does anyone have pictures or instructions for installation or tips on how they did theirs? |
Re: Hydraulic Clutch Installation
I searched for Hydraulic Clutch Installation in local Search box. https://www.google.com/search?domain...D%3A1%3B&hl=en

And thanks for the pictures! Between this and what came with the kit, I should be good. I am just nervous to cut my pristine firewall haha. |

I am having a clearance issue between my clutch master cylinder and the two plugs that come out of the firewall for the front lights, alternator, etc. I cannot plug in the front turn signal harness due to the interference. Has anyone else had this? How did you resolve it?

Here is how the Capt.Fab is on my 62.
Looks like a different master cyl. |
Re: Hydraulic Clutch Installation
Yeah I also have the CapFab kit. I am guessing its a different master cylinder for the 66. Maybe I delete the factory grommet, move the plug into the cab and seal around the wires with a split grommet?

Re: Hydraulic Clutch Installation
That looks like the same master cylinder I have on my 62 - Willwood. I was able to turn the plug / grommet onto an angle where I could get the plugs to fit into the connector with the master in place. I had done some wiring and replaced the grommet - if yours is hard and crusty, you might try a little heat to get it to move. You can also loosen the master, plug in the connectors and then tighten up the master.
