68 C10 factory 4 speed shifter handle bend

Hello, can I bend the factory 4 speed floor shifter a little on my 68 C10. I’m thinking about heating to bend it, but don’t know if it’s hardened steel or not. Because I don’t want to break it. Please let me know. Thank you.

Should be No Problem. Just be careful, get it Orange Hot And bend slowly. Let Cool and your good to Go
