WIW 1967 SWB Fleetside. Unfinished

5 Attachment(s)
1967 SWB in primer. Frame mediablasted and powder coated. Does not have a motor but the motor that was due to go in it is a 383 Stroker. Got a few bad pics.
Any help would be appreciated. This truck will need to be sold to settle an estate.
Also can someone please tell me what this last photo is?

The last photo is the drivers side door jamb - the upper 2 holes are where the VIN tag would have been riveted in place. Unsure on the lower 2 holes

That last picture is where the VIN plate is mounted to the vehicle. Removing the Vehicle Identification Number is a serious problem in most states. Hopefully you have that plate and a matching title.

Selling a project vehicle that's in pieces is difficult. I wouldn't pay more than about $3,500 for that truck in it's current state. I'd also need to confirm that all of the pieces are present and that it's a factory short bed truck with a clean title. If I were you, I'd take a bunch of pictures and list it for $5,000.

I think you are about $5,000 too low if that is the truck he had shipped back from Nevada. That was a rust free truck. I'm just not 100% sure it is the same truck but I bet it is.

Big back window, 5 lug rear-end, removed Vin plate. I have to assume it's has newer parts from the pics we have at the moment. If it's a real swb, big back windew...I agree $5,000 may be a little low. However, it's still in pieces and some valuable 67 only parts could be missing.

Too bad the vin tag is missing. Hopefully you can find that.

I get the impression that you consider the things you have listed as negatives, but to many people they are pluses. If a person is restoring a truck back to stock that would be true, but I can guarantee you that the majority of people on here are modifying them anyway so those are things that are already done for them.

If Lcoyne05 can find the glove box door and post a picture of the SPID on the inside of it that might answer some questions. As many parts as John had, finding the one for that truck may not be possible since the VIN tag is off of it too.

I ordered the complete ECE kit for my 67 shortbed before I even unloaded the truck. I'm currently cutting down a 69. I do believe that a small group of people are willing to pay a premium for a factory original shortbed. The OP doesn't seem to care what is, just what can they expect to sell it for. I think my $3,500 to $5,000 estimate is resonable until a vin plate and clean title show up.

Yep the missing vin plate is a value killer and can be a deal breaker if the truck has to be inspected before the title can be transferred.

A search shows that the rivets that the factory used just look like pop rivets I'd be digging out a couple the right size with the right "patina" to look like they were there all the time. Or just have the vin plate with the title.

On the price it may help because someone on here has been following his thread (s) and has a pretty good idea of what shape it is in and what is with it. No a bad idea to offer it with or without the engine too and the engine alone if it can be documented may bring more by it's self than in a package deal.

Price still will depend on condition, how complete and good the parts are, plus location. Gu ys are throwing out prices for their own areas and they may not match the going price were the truck sits.

The rivets are different than regular rivets. They are called "Rosette" rivets. If you look close at the picture you posted you can see the flutes around the outside edge. That is what anyone that inspects the vehicle looks for.

Here is a better picture.

Based on the large ignition switch hole in the dash and the four VIN tag holes, my guess is the cab has been swapped in from a newer truck. Also, 67 trucks more commonly have a small rear window, although the large Panorama window was optional in 67.

Out here is Caly just the bed itself would go for $2500+or-. Desperate measures do exist!
