GMC 2WD 1/2ton - how many leaf springs?
 

My ‘67 GMC shortbed 2WD I6 has (8) leafs which feels excessive? What was the stock standard number of leafs?

Also…..how many leafs would you suggest downsizing to….and which should / should not be removed? This C10 won’t have a trailer hitch, and likely wont haul anything more than a normal riding mower or maybe filling the bed with firewood as I’ve done with my ‘68??


I planned to just restore the original leaf pack, versus going new.
