I already contacted him, vin plates are missing and of coarse no titles for them.

What happens if a vehicle has no title? Can you just go to the DMV and get another? Not a real issue here in Canada

I wonder if this will change though when we welcome Canada as the 51st state. :)

No title, potentially an issue. No VIN plates, huge issue!

The states have different regulations so there may not be an issue with no title, but I live in Pennsylvania and would need a title or transferable registration to get a title. The missing vin plate is a federal issue so legally you can't install a different one but it happens.

Don't get my hopes up! I should have left this place when I was in my 20's.
If I told you the BS we have to go through up here just to own an old vehicle, you wouldn't believe me. It's worse than woke California.

That's what I was wondering about. So, if you don't have a title (piece of paper)
or a transferable registration (another piece of paper) does that mean the vehicle can never be registered again? Very curious.

No, there is ways to be able to register it again. Mechanics can put repair lien on vehicles and if not paid can apply for a title, I'm not sure if Pennsylvania can do this but I know Marylanders can. It could be sold to a friend in a state that only needs a receipt and then resold back to you with the needed paper work to get a title. Just like someone installing the wrong vin plate on a vehicle there are ways under the radar to get another title. The vin plate is the biggest issue the paperwork can be had.
