1988 Alternator wiring

I installed a TBI 5.7 out of an 88 van in my 42 Chevy truck. The install is going well and running. There are 3 wires, one is a larger red and goes to battery. The brown wire comes from the connector at the alternator goes to a dash light and then a wire goes to the on position on the ignition switch. The wire in question is a pink with a black line, where does it go?
Thanks for any help

I was looking at your build the other day. I used an '88 GMC for my '47. Pictures of the alternator hook up in my build thread pg.6 #141. Just the Two wires, but you might want to add a resistor across the dash light.

Thank you both with your replies. That was a lot of reading on hotrodders and your build page. From what I gather, it seems I only need the brown wire that I have hooked up to the light and ignition. the pink and black wire is not really needed.
