Greetings, I'm excited to be here
It's been a while, since I first found this site and started reading through all of the various sections and threads. The amount of information here is simply staggering.
My GM truck background: Dad had a 1971 Chevy K20, dark metallic green, which was brand new. I recall seeing it for the first time, it was wonderful. I spent a lot of right-seat time in that truck while Dad plowed snow (we lived in NH) on top of a long, very steep hill. My own truck was a 1975 GMS C2500 in gold. Loved that truck. 350, 4sp, power brakes, no power steering, extra heavy rear springs (prior owner had a camper he carried with it). Why am I here? Well, besides the enjoyment of seeing so many great rides, I have some questions I'd like to ask; for example little details about Dad's and my trucks that I have forgotten over the years. Also I've been watching some of the restoration threads. The work that many of you have done, to essentially create brand-new 50-year-old trucks, is astounding. So I'm very happy to be here! |

Welcome, always good to see new people join up. When you have time post some pics. We all enjoy pics of what people are working on.

Thanks Darrell.
No classic truck currently. I guess if I had a magic wand I'd try to determine if either of the '71 or the '75 still exists and track it down but I have no way of doing so. |
