Will a '74 C-10 camper shell fit a '72 C-10?

Hey guys, Will a '74 C-10 camper shell fit a '72 C-10? Both are LWB...but I'm curious about the width...I tried to search thru the forum and did find one post saying the '74 shell would be about an inch wider overhang on each side...that's not cool. I'm looking for a slimline type camper cover that is even with cab...and almost has a Blazer/Suburban sorta look. I found one I like, 6 hour R/T but hate to make the trip and it's not a good fit. I think I read some 80's or 90's Ford shells work well.
Any thoughts, please pass them along.

Thanks much, G

They will fit but they overhang the sides a little bit, If memory serves me well.

Thanks much for the response...dang, I hate to hear that...this camper shell I found had the slightly more modern look I was looking for. I really don't care for the look of any of them but my truck came with one and it's turned out to be be pretty practical. It would help if there were an affordable tonneau for a LWB. Sure wish I could find a used one. It seems there would be a lot of unwanted parts floating around for the unloved LWB's. Being able to keep stuff out of the weather is great.
If anyone knows what "more modern" fiberglass camper shell fits (like 80's Ford or something, please pass it along.

Thanks, G

I used the one on my squarebody also with my 72. Inside it fits perfect on the rails, outside hangs over about an inch on each side. Length and height wise its good.

Thanks much, any pics of when it was on the '72 by chance? G

Sure, they’re not the best pictures but sadly all I have.

The cap was in somewhat rough shape, just a basic aluminum one.

As far as the internal panels are concerned, they were a carryover from the 67-72 to the 73 on Squarebody's, correct?

Thanks much for the pics. That's almost identical to the one I have on there now but one of my convex windows has a big X type crack in it... I haven't been able to find a replacement. I considered trying to plastic weld it back together using a soldering iron, then sanding and buffing. I've polished out numerous headlights and my '67 Airstream I refurbished. Mine shell isn't real pretty right now but is actually in really good condition, just needs a minor refurb. I wish I could find a replacement window though.
Thanks again, G

I honestly don't know, maybe someone else could chime in. Thanks, G

Nice truck! It appears to be a workhorse, towing, etc. We have two C-10's...I've towed our Airstream on a 8 hour R/T with the stock one but haven't towed it with the other as I haven't secured a frame hitch. /Users/gevenaston/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary/resources/derivatives/B/BC4F332F-4A68-4C84-82A2-D34CB03E9955_1_105_c.jpeg

Oh well, I couldn't figure out how to upload pics, as I'm not on here often. It said I was missing a security token...maybe it has something to do with my VPN.
