1947 GMC grain truck turned hot rod build

finally decided to get after building my 1947 gmc :metal:

- posting in here because it seems to be a carry over 1946 body from a grain truck so it doesn't look like the 1947 chevys

how she is currently sitting.

cab is sitting on tacked on body mounts.

front end is propped in place, but i like the placement of the body, so now to pull the body back off, and weld in the cab mounts and make some core support mounts

That is coming along pretty nice. When I lived in Texas my best friend had a 41 1/2 ton that he put a 396 4 speed and rear end out of his 69 Chevelle that had been trough some rough times body wise in and made a nice driving hot rod pickup.

1 ton,
Thanks for doing this build. The cool thing to me about older vehicles s the fact that you don't see many of them any more. 41-46 Chevy pickups are never seen any more.
