What can I do with a C30 Flatbed?!
 

So, I've got my 2003 8.1L 2500HD 4wd. It's great for hauling building material, furniture and for towing.

I've got my 2021 Toyota Crew Cab as a daily for me and the kids.

I've got my 1971 K5 Blazer for....fun! :metal:


But seeing as I'm thinking about another project...
what can I do with a C30 flatbed?

Or, do I already have enough trucks!!! :lol:

For years, they were Ridden hard and put away wet
The last one of the old work trucks was sold several months ago

Mines a daily driver. I have rental buildings that I maintain, and a flatbed comes in awfully handy not to mention going to the feed store twice a month for the wife...real handy for "Honey Do's" also.

As others have said you always need another truck.

So what you have the 2003 8.1. What happens when you find parts locally. You take a C30 with a flatbed to go pick them up. Or you drive it through a parade with your kids baseball team. You build the truck THEN find uses. Besides as cool as that 8.1 is, you will never get the same feeling as driving an old carbureted granny gear 4 speed.

Put a slide-in camper on it and stick side boxes under the overhangs for gear storage.

I've wanted a flatbed to do this to for a while now.
