Hard Wiring Fuel Gauge?

I dont wanna run the factory circuit board as im doing a custom dash Setup

How do i go about wiring the factory gauge without the circuit Board?

Is one terminal post ground and one post ignition Power.

Thanks

Re: Hard Wiring Fuel Gauge?

Bottom post -> ground
Driver side post -> fused 12V
Passenger side post -> sender

The top two posts are connected with an external resistor.

Thank You. I ll check YouTube to see how to check the resistor and hook the gauge to 12v fused ignition. Thanks

Re: Hard Wiring Fuel Gauge?

The pink wire on the stock gauge cluster connector is a source of ignition controlled fused 12V.

The resistor should measure around 85 Ohms. It must be removed from the gauge before measuring it.
