Intro: 1972 C20 Long Olive
3 Attachment(s)
Been lurking here soaking up great info for some months. I decided it was time for a very belated introduction and photos of my 1972 C20 Custom. She's got a long bed, 350 sbc (stock), 4-spd muncie, west coast mirrors, heavy duty and aux springs. Original color (repainted 26yrs ago), converted interior to black/green (was all olive), added AC. Otherwise all original, all matching.
Not a show car by any means but driven often and used for light farm chores. I'm redoing the interior (again) right now and had worked on rust-treatment all last year. Attachment 2415552 Attachment 2415551 |

Re: Intro: 1972 C20 Long Olive
What tires are you running? 16" wheel? Im debating on bias plys or radials. Those look good to me. I want the bias ply mud tires on the rear and road on the steers but the cost is what im weighing at the moment.

They are fairly quiet but a bit hard (being a 10-ply tire). They have a classic look, being a narrower tread tire. That was what I was going for plus the ability to handle some weight. |
Re: Intro: 1972 C20 Long Olive
Right on thanks for the quick reply! I have 16" split rims and original to the era bias plys. thanks for the info, I want to take them off and restore down the road but want something stock looking for the moment being. Beautiful truck!

Re: Intro: 1972 C20 Long Olive
Split rims can be a bit tricky and a lot of shops don't like working with them anymore. However, I can understand the desire to keep the original wheels.
