Headlights and turn signals only ?

Happened all at once ,no park lights, no brake lights , no dome light , no dash lights ???
Only headlights and turn signals working .Reached under dash, wiggled light switch n wires,, same for ignition switch, bulkhead connectors , headlight connectors , ground wires 3 I could find
Voltage regulator. All fuses ok
Does this seem like a light switch problem. The brake light thing is huge, can't drive without them. Also been doing the search thing on here last 2 hours
And I just got the LMC headlight relay harness , not yet installed.
71 C 50 292 4sp 2sp vacuum operated rear end.
Looking for wisdom and knowledge advice help.
Any and all input welcome. Thanks in advance. Good luck on all your projects.

The first thing I'd say is it's probably a ground issue, I found out the hard way, never to many good grounds. I don't think this is a problem, but I had an issue with amp and temperature gauges that drove me nuts. My problems with that was on both front corners in the harness that goes across the front is a small fuse, about 4 amp. They were both all corroded, I removed both and install new holders and 5 amp fuses and that solved that problem. Check your grounds......

I agree with old51sedan's advice. Double check your grounds... the flow of electrons is no longer continuous.

On a '67 K/10 Suburban, I had some weird issues with Taillights and some signal lights acting up.
['67s have no Side Markers or side lights.]
When I put in a new Turn Signal Switch, all those gripes went away.

Ground Straps are every bit as important as the above Posters say.

You can drive your truck without Brake Lights legally, if you use the old standard Hand Signals.

Arm out, bent down, Palm rear means Stop. Repeated motions from medium high, downward means Slowing.

My Turn Signal lever came out -- lost screw -- from my Steering Column on the '68 C/10 Stepside.*
I've been using old school hand signals for a couple years. For better visability at nigt, I wear a construction safety glove -- Orange/White with White 3M reflector strips for my signalling hand. Cops have routinely been on my 6 o'clock. None of them had a problem with it.

[* I'll put the Column all back together when I get the right color Fawn paint for my repaired Steering Wheel. Also need a bearing in the column. Otherwise the Horn circuit is constantly energized.]

Amazing what a test light will tell you, checked fuse panel n fuses , wasn't blown but wasn't making good connection, while trying to wiggle fuse it broke, put new fuse in . Yeah ,really sucks when you panic and put up a help request on a forum and it's as simple as a blown fuse , makes you feel really stupid .
Thanks to all who replied, good luck on all your projects.

As my Drill Instructor said, ''The only Stupid Questions are the ones you're afraid to ask.''

Hey that's what we're here for.

Of course I don't have any answers but it's fun to listen to those that do.

...gotta throw in a picture just because.

I often will start to formulate a question to post, and while doing so, come up with a alternate solution that sometimes works. I really struggle with reading and writing. I speculate me having to change up my thoughts to write a comprehensible sentence also fires alternate ideas in my melon. Good to see the problem was not really a problem.

In regards to your turn signal switch, I was having problems with my turn signal lights on the one side along with parking lights, a buddy of mine was over who was a mechanic all his life and I showed it to him and he said it's your turn signal switch. I said it can't be, I just bought this rebuilt tilt column, everything is new in it, he said agin it's the turn signal switch, where's your old column, we laid in on the floor, unplugged the new one, plugged in the old one and everything was fine. I called the guy I bought it from, he told me he had a few defective switches and mailed me a new one, my buddy came over and installed it, no more problems. Things do happen, he made a believer out of me.
