My 1992 era $400 parts blazer to ???
5 Attachment(s)
Bought this back in 1992 from a lady who stopped by my shop building in it and asked if I could buy her running ochre '72 CST as she needed rent money right now. She had seen my rusty 71 Blazer with the snowplow out back and thought I might need another for $400 cash and a ride back home with her 2 little kids. Title was in hand too. I parked it out in back, shut it off and never again ran it.
She has sat outside mainly untouched and moved to several locations over the next 33 years till last month when I just decided it to pull it out of the trees and pulled the trigger on this years project. A few things, like the original loaded hatch, rear seat, tailgate, inside spare tire carrier and original front seats grew legs over the years and walked off and the rust and coons moved in and took its toll. Plan is now for all new tub surgery, new reproduction hatch and save the single wall top that is really not bad compared to the 53 year old crap I have looked at lately. I have a complete set of NOS 72 doors, nos front clip, take off Cheyenne gate, nos LOF windshield, all GM trim and bumpers. And on and on. So here's to another bucket list addition from my past to see back on the road in 1or2 years. |

Been there, done that with a rustbucket Blazer. I salvaged what I could from mine and built it after it sat in a field for 25 years while I collected parts and a parts rig from Arizona.
I bought a couple of them back in the early '90's for $200 each. Wish they were still that cheap. |
