Is the bearing cup just stuck in here?

I'm trying to do some work on the steering column for my '67 (three on the tree). The lower bearing on the steering shaft was completely shot and pretty much just fell apart on me. I'm not sure what I'm looking at here. Is the part that I've got an arrow pointing to the bearing cup just stuck in the adjusting ring?

Yes. It is a press fit. It is further held into the cup by the steering shaft retaining clamp that rides in the bearing.

Thanks. That's kind of what I figured was going on. Just wanted to make sure before I tried to press it out of there. It's been tough to find clear diagrams of all of the parts of the shaft--especially for a three on the tree.

Not sure if that kit is coming up to view but if it isn't that kit is sold by The Truck Shop for $42

Thanks for the link... They've got marked as '69-'72, but it looks just like what I have, so I'm guessing it'll work.

Update: This kit doesn't work for my pickup. I THOUGHT the picture looked the same as mine, but the adjusting ring has different dimensions for a '67. I'm looking at this bearing (available from multiple places) and thinking it might press into my current adjusting ring (I was able to get the old bearing cup out with just a bit of tapping), but I may not be able to figure that out for sure until I just order one and try it.

I think that bearing is the same as the 60-66 trucks.

Here is the thread that I think has the answer.

I don't think that bearing from summitracing will work, I think the inside diameter is too large but I could be wrong ;)

Aye, that's what my further research is showing, too. I ordered one from Classic Parts instead. Not in a huge hurry as there are roughly 20 million other things that need to happen to get it on the road, so I have time for trial and error. :)
