I have a 4l60e transmission, any real easy neutral safety and back up lights hookups for a wiring challenged guy?

Some times you have to cheat, If you know what the original donor of the transmission was or can decode it from the tag on the transmission you hunt down the diagrams on the switch and figure out what plug it had.

This thread on LS tech might steer you in the right direction and when you scroll down to the bottom there are a couple of links that I haven't looked at yet that might help.

Thanks, I shall check it out. A 2005 Chevy 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive with 5.3 is the info I have.

It looks like you should have the switch on the left in that first image I posted.

If you don't have the pigtail on the switch Rock Auto shows pig tails for either the oval 7 pin connector or the more square 14 pin connector with Standard Ignition part numbers. You can get the 7 pin connector at O'Reilly's for less than you can buy it and pay shipping from Rock Auto.
